Over the Weekend..

I had Friday off of work, so naturally I slept in and then did a little shopping with the Mom and sister. We went and picked out fabric for an old chair that I got from my Great Great Aunt, FINALLY. I have had the chair for about 2 years now and have had a cute blanket draped over it with pillows to mask the 60's/70's green and blue stipe! It is the most adorable chair and I cannot wait to see how it turns out. We picked out a simple material with a creamy linen looking background with grey-ish/brown and yellow stripes. It matches our bedspread perfectly and being that our bedspread is super busy, I thought a complete opposite pattern that was simple would do perfect.

Chair- Before

Speaking of... need to call the chair covering man right now!

Then it was time to get ready for the Music City Bowl. We decided to to save our money and sadly not make the trip to Nashville for the bowl game. Good thing we didn't go bc Kendol has been sick. That would have been Mizzzz for all parties involved. So we, along with Ben and Mary Kathryn, ordered pizza  and watched the game from the comfort of the couch. Everyone was festive. Even Mary Kathryn wore maroon and she is "one of those" Ole Miss folks (jokes jokes). What a sport!!! I got to sport my new Egg Bowl jersey so I was super pumped. I put it on right after lunch with leggins and Uggs... the game didn't start until 5:45...loser... I also had my cowbell near by and a beer in hand! We played like a highschool team, but a win is a win, is a win.... So, I'll take it!

Sick Kendol being festive in my Snuggie.

Cowbells Ready for Ringin'!

Saturday was a gorgeous day down here is the Sip.. It was about 70 degrees and so pretty. Not your typical weather for the last day of the year, but it was gorg! I spent the morning with Ann-Hamilton and Hayes at the park. Speaking of... if you live around here and haven't taken the kiddos to Winner's Circle Park, you must do so immediately. It is legit!!

O she loved the swing!!
She laughed and laughed and laughed.
We kept it low key for New Years since Kendol had been sick and just hung out at the house with a few close friends. We cooked steaks and hashbrown casserole, hung around the bonfire, listening to country music, drinking from our redneck wine glasses and watched the fireworks coming from every direction in our neighborhood. We all toasted to the new year with champagne from Dixie Cups while watching the ball drop on t.v. and debating over the ridiculousness that is LMFAO. The girls were fans of course... the country boys... not so much!

This silly fire ruined all the pictures that I took.
I haven't quite figured out all of the settings on the new camera,
so the smoke made them all blurry... Boo

Then, you can see how the lazy Sunday went HERE!

And this is how work looks around here today....

Yep... just me in about a 200 car parking lot.
Looks like my office missed the memo....
