Thankful Thursday

Photobucket

Hey Yall!
So many times, we just jump strait from Halloween to Christmas and skip right over one of the best and most important holidays of the year, Thanksgiving. So, in order to not skip over it, I want to invite you to join me in something I did last year for the month of November, Thankful Thursday.  It's Easy Peasy. Simply say at least one thing you are thankful for, for each day of the month. It's kind of like a "Thank You Jesus" journal. Then each Thursday post your entries for each day of the previous week. And it doesn't have to be anything serious and profound. Have fun with it and be thankful for the little, random things that make you smile.

I ain't preachin' at ya! Just bein' thankful!!

I am thankful for motivation. Motivation obviously sent from the Good Lord Above. I know this is a strange thing to be thankful for, but let me break it down for you. I not only gave up my precious, perfect, most delicious curly fries from Keifers to have a side salad at lunch, but I also had a broiled shrimp and a salad for supper and I worked out for an hour... at the gym. What got into me? Give up my curly fries... Yea Right! And actually work out at the gym?

I have been avoiding the gym like a plague for the past 2 weeks, running a little outside and doing some free weights at home. I was burnt out, but for some reason, I was ready to go. I wanted to go to spin class, for the first time in a while... Just to get to the gym and find out it was cancelled for the night. At this point, I could have just left or done a few weight/ab machines and taken the lazy man's way out , but I didn't. I did a few ab workouts and then worked my little booty off for 35 minutes on the elyptical. And to make this even more impressive, I had no ipod... cardio with no ipod?? Is that even possible? So a big thanks to my spin class pal Joe for chatting with me the whole time. Couldn't have done it without ya!
So seriously... I'm so thankful for the motivation bc I really do feel so much better.

For Wednesday, I am thankful for Christmas music, because it's honestly one of the only reasons I made it through this not so great day... and Chick Fil A for breakfast...

So far today, I am thankful for getting to work safely. It was raining, and we all know if it's raining around here, people just forget how to drive. It's seriously like an On/Off switch. Rain=Off... It's cra-zy. Between the rain and Mistletoe Marketplace the commute was a disaster.
I'm also thankful for KLove on the radio, so I can have a little jam sesh on the way to work!

One of my favs from this morning:

Even when the rain falls

Even when the flood starts rising

Even when the storm comes

I am washed by the water

HAPPY THURSDAY FOLKS!!
