That Time I made Nutella Cookies..

If you know Kendol and I, then you know that we are daily grocery shoppers not planners. We are so sporadic that we feel like we waste money if we plan out meals bc then something comes up and we do not eat what we've already paid for. Next thing you know, the food we bought is old and we've wasted money once again. So we buy things by the meal and that means that our kitchen is not always fully stocked with every day essentials.

Enter Sunday.

It's raining. Glasses are on. Football's on. P.J's have been put back on. Haven't left the couch in hours. Pumpkin candle's burning. Candle makes Kendol want a cupcake. Mention of the word cupcake and it's all I can think about but I refuse to leave the house.

Enter pinterest.

Next thing you know, I'm in the kitchen emptying out an entire box of Splenda packets to get enough sugar to make a batch of cookies.. (real life). Who runs out of sugar? Apparently we do. I had no idea. Desperate times call for desperate measures folks.

It took an entire box of splenda packets to get the 1/4 cup of sugar called for in a some of the recipes. So that's what I had to work with.. and work with it I did. I made my first batch of homemade cookies and I have to say that they turned out delicious considering the circumstances. And I'm not the only one who thought they were good apparently. Kendol had quite a few and there are only 2 left in the break room at work. Granted they could have taken a bite and spit it out in the garbage but that's not important.

Anywho, on to my creation.

Peanut Butter and Nutella Cookies
(Seriously, with those two things how could they be bad)
1 Cup of Nutella (Let's be honest I just emptied the whole thing)
1/4 Cup of Sugar
1 Egg
1 Cup of Flour
2 (giant) Spoonfuls of Peanut Butter
White Chocolate Chips (yes, we had these but not sugar.. completely normal)

Whooped everything up in the ole Kitchen Aid Mixer.
Divided into Chunks
Baked on 350 for 20 minutes

Just call me Betty Crocker... I'm no MEG but I was pretty proud of myself.

I will not be held responsible if you attempt these and it's a disaster... Just sayin'..
