I am seriously so envious of all fashion bloggers. I wish I had even an ounce of their creativity and their confidence. Let's be honest, I would look like a fool on the street corner with Kendol snapping pictures of me. It would definitely need to be filmed for reality t.v. and I'm not going to lie, we would possibly win an award for it.
Why do I wish I was a fashion blogger? So that I could try all kinds of crazy trends and have people respect them and love them... Instead, I think I would come to work and people would look at me like I'd legit lost my marbles. Most folks just wouldn't understand it. (EX. Kendol every single day of my life ha)
Also, who doesn't want an excuse to shop more often? I wouldn't hate that at all.
Have a reason to get that piece that you wouldn't normally be able to justify? Yes, please.
It's for the blog!!
For the love of the blog!!
I had to buy it...

So anyways, where am I going with this, you ask? I was just scouring pinterest in search of some new ways to wear the trusty ole' chambray shirt. There are so many ways that I would just never even think of. I am thinking that maybe I should try one new way to wear it a week or something and post about it. Then I could be a pretend fashion blogger?? Dream come true! (I would need a photographer, stat)
Anywho, is anyone else as a fan of their chambray shirt as I am? And let me just let you in on a little secret. Mine is from Wal-Mart. It's Miley Cyrus. I have had it for 3 years or so. It still looks brand new and I wear it ALL the time. It is still to this day, one of my favorite things in my closet and it cost less than $10. True Story.
Moving right along to some trends that I would love to try.
CHAMBRAY WITH A SASSY SKIRT
CHAMBRAY OVER A DRESS
OPEN FACED CHAMBRAY
(Yea, I made that term up... and it's genius)
CHAMBRAY + POP OF COLOR
AND LAST BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST...
CHAMBRAY + TUTU
(or TuTu Chambray)
That made me giggle.
(or TuTu Chambray)
That made me giggle.
(I would legit wear this if someone gave me a tutu)
So tell me, what's your favorite way to wear chambray?
I LOVE my chambray shirt and wear it all the time!! I totally think you should do those "how many ways can I wear it" posts. And have a link up so that anyone else who wants to pretend to be a fashion blogger can try too!! Haha! I'd love to have more ideas on how to wear it!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I've been wanting a Chambray shirt for MONTHS. I can't find one that I love anywhere :( When I do, I'm trying these fun outfits...well I might leave off the Tutu/Wedding Dress!
ReplyDeleteCallie you are SO funny! I feel the same way, I always want to feature my outfits because let's face it.. I ain't no skinny minnie and I feel like I do a pretty god job of dressing for my body BUT who will take the pictures and how do I pose so it's not awkward! Love your idea with the Chamray though, it's totally the most versatile piece in a wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteYour pins are fabulous! love the outfits!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! Stop by nichollvincent.blogspot.com and say hello! :)
I have a skirt I got from Walmart in college and I still wear it today! It's over 10 years old! haha
ReplyDeletei love my chambray shirt and now i love my chambray polka dot shirt!! seriously chambray can go with everything and yes even jeans without looking 80s-ish. i would love to be a fashion blogger too with someone else footing the bill for all the clothes i feel i would need to have
ReplyDeleteYou can totally pull all of these off...well except the tutu...but that's because I am not a fan lol. A few weeks ago I wore my chambray shirt tied at the waist so it wasn't so long. I felt dumb but then I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI, too, wish I was more confident taking pictures. And I wish I had someone to take pics of me!
I can totally relate to wanting to be like those fashion bloggers! It would be a dream!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to wear my chambray shirt everyday and of course I'd love to be a fashion blogger!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea what chambray was... I figured it out. Not sure about tutus but only because it looks too extravagant for everyday wear.
ReplyDeleteyou so read my mind! I am obsessed with my chambray! i got it like 2 years ago. It was a random find at belk....Its a small but fits HUGE so I thought it was mis-sized. come to find out it's a men's shirt! Its seriously one of my favorite things in my closet.
ReplyDeleteoh and I know about the odd looks from the hubs...last week i tried to wear a military vest over a pink high low skirt and cute little booties....he wouldn't let me out of the house. I think he shed a tear laughing so hard. i don't care what he says...it was cute and totally fashion blogger-ish...
love the post!!!
