Let's Get Physical

Now that I have that fantabulous song stuck in your head...

Let's get serious for a minute. I haven't discussed fitness or food on here in a long time. And just to continue keeping myself accountable, I am going to do just that. At the beginning of the year, it was my goal to exercise more (of course) and try to make a point for at least one meal (of my two.. I don't eat breakfast.. yea.. yea..) to be some what healthy. If you know me at all, you know that healthy food is not in my vocabulary. The more butter the better... I do live in Mississippi after all.

So far, so good. I have slacked a little bit but for the most part I have been extremely successful on all of this. I started out recording my daily exercise and one healthy meal in my planner, then I discovered the My Fitness Pal app. This thing works wonders y'all! When we went to the beach in April, I was up to 80 something consecutive days of entering in my food and exercise. I missed a day while there, so it started over. I was mad ha! But as of now, I'd say that I am at 100+ days of counting calories and exercising and I feel great and have had crazy good results!

Lately, I have been slacking on my exercise. I haven't been to the gym in FOR-E-VER... But I have been doing Zumba and running (when it's not 100 degrees outside). I still have got to learn how to exercise in the mornings. The afternoon workouts are part of the problem with consistency. Each afternoon doesn't always allow for as much exercise as I'd like to do or lots of times any at all. Any pointers on getting up for morning exercise would be very helpful!

So with that said... Here is a little motivation for us all!!

Story of my life. I will do so good for a few months... then just quit for 2 or 3 weeks because I burn myself out. So annoying, but I do it everytime... I'm doing it right now as a matter of fact!

  1. I am 100% with you! I might do a very similar post! I just got into a routine because I am trying so hard to run a half marathon! I want to run in the mornings, but I really love my sleep. I went to yoga one Friday morning at 6 am and I felt SO great at work (sore, yes). I will have to read your comments to see if anyone has any good tips! Then at night, I can cook dinner instead of always making Tyler cook, and have more time to relax. Good post, girl! And I will try to motivate you! Just let me know what I can do to help!!!

  2. Cute pins! I have lost all of my motivation as well! I try and go to Zumba on the weekends and walk my dog during the week but sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day.. this is obviously an excuse but I'd rather make time for blogging than exercising haha.

  4. Love this! Props to you for sticking to your workouts & logging your meals! I love my My Fitness Pal app except I'm good about logging in for a couple of weeks & then I fall off! Oops! I'm fresh out of ideas for getting up in the mornings! I don't even get up when Matt leaves for the gym... I just spread out & take up his side of the bed too! LOL! Keep up the good work sister! It will pay off!

  5. I am toying with the idea of getting certified to teach pilates. It is soooo expensive though! It is hard to stay motivated to work out. I teach dance so I get a work out when I teach. Thank goodness I do that or I would be a total bum.

  7. You can do it, Callie! I get up 3 mornings a week before work and kill a workout. It is tough at the beginning but getting it over with in the morning is a great way to start your day. Keep up the awesome work!!

  8. I love reading inspirational workout quotes! I usually work out on my lunch break because I hate waking up early and if I work out after work I just dread it all day long :D

  9. Love those quotes! I'm not very good at tracking my calories in those programs even though I try all the time, I just forget! Good for you for sticking with it for 100 days!
