Over the Weekend

O, what a weekend it was...

Kendol and I headed to Seagrove Beach bright an early on Thursday morning, for a long weekend. We spent the weekend being complete beach bums and eating entirely too much food...and did a little shopping, of course. Needless to say, all of those spin classes I have been going to... pointless!!

Since it was just the two of us, there were not many pictures taken bc of lack of someone to take them. But it was perfect and entirely too short. When's the next trip????

Besides our beach trip, this was a pretty dang big weekend around the world..

~all 4 of the MSU football players were drafted to the NFL. ((Derek Sherrod To Green Bay, Pernell McPhee to the Ravens, Chris White to the Buffalo Bills and KJ Wright to the SeaHawks) #HAILSTATE

~Prince William and Kate Middleton were married. I have to admit, I never got into the royal wedding like some, but I did watch the wedding, at 10... not 4 a.m. It was beautiful.

~And last, but most certainly not least... Osama bin Laden is dead. Thanks to all of our military men and women for your 10 years of relentless hard work to bring him to justice. It's crazy to think about, but this one man, has been one of the biggest threats to America for most of my life. It's about time, he was defeated. What a great day to be an American.

"This is a profoundly important moment, not just for the families of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and in al-Qaida's other attacks, but for people all over the world, who want to build a common future of peace, freedom, and cooperation for our children. I congratulate the President, the National Security team and the members of our armed forces on bringing Osama bin Laden to justice after more than a decade of murderous al-Qaida attacks." ~Bill Clinton

"This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done." ~George W. Bush

"Tonight, let us think back to the sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11. I know that it has, at times, frayed. Yet today’s achievement is a testament to the greatness of our country and the determination of the American people.” ~Barrack Obama

God Bless America!!
"One nation, under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

Let us not forget that although Bin Laden is no longer a threat to America, there is only one death that brought the world true peace, and we celebrated that last week!
(I saw this on someone's facebook and it's o so true!!)
