So, I am just now getting around to the weekend recap and it's almost the weekend again...

Don't be judgin'
On Friday, Mallory and I packed it up and headed north for Memphis for our annual college girls trip for the Lisa Lassandrello 5K. We scooped up Katie in Grenada and were on our way. When we got there we headed out for a little pizza and trivia night in Harbor Town then headed in early since we were supposed to be running in the a.m. Little did we know, things were about to take a turn for the worse. The neighbor below the apartment we were staying in mistook our blowing up of the ole' air mattress for a crazy wild party... Let's just say he had to work the next morning and was not at all happy with us for our 1 minute of noise... Seriously... he made a huge deal. So our 11:30 night turned into a 1:30 night.. Like Whoa..
Needless to say 7 a.m. came early... especially when the only thing you had to look forward to was running 3.1 miles in 30 degree weather on just a few hours sleep. But we all survived. Liz won for our age group as always, with a time somewhere around 21 minutes.. And I finished around 29 minutes which is awesome for me! It was my first time to finish in under 30 at an actual race.
Liz, Leslie, Me, Mal & Katie (no eyes) Looking mighty chipper, might I add... |
The rest of the day was spent over brunch and bargain shopping, followed by a quick power nap before we headed to dinner. We had brunch at "Local" and I had crab stuffed avocado, mac n' cheese and a bloody mary.. Hello Heaven!!
For dinner, we went to S.O.B. (South of Beale) and it was surely delish! I had Duck Fried Rice and you guessed it... Mac n' Cheese! Kendol does not like MnC so I never have it home. Crazy right? So when it's available at a restaurant it is at the top of my list.. always. Dinner was followed by a night out on the town and ended with a dance party... DUH.. Seriously, how sad is it that I only took two pictures of the whole weekend. What in the world is wrong with me?
