Well, Well, Well, would you look at that? It's been exactly one month since I last blogged. What in the world? I honestly have not had a single free second to even read a blog, much less write my own. There has been so much going on, that I don't even know where to start, but here goes nothing..
First and foremost (picking up from my last blog post), the Mississippi State Bulldogs played in the College World Series championship. I repeat... the Missi... you get the point. This was major. We didn't do so well in our championship games, but hey, it's the first time that's ever happened for us in any sport. We spent our nights sitting on our "lucky" table at Mudbugs rooting on the dogs. In desperation on the second night of the championship, I even busted out my cowbell. (Kendol thinks our cowbells are cursed bc we always lose when we take them to football games). Needless to say, it didn't help here either, but I could not be more proud of our school and fans.

Me, in my Daddy's baseball tee, cowbell in hand trying not to cry ha. |
Secondly, my little sister and my Mother just returned from a mission trip to Puerto Rico for 7 days. I could not be more proud of them helping spread Jesus' love around the world. No worries, I haven't lost all of my blogging cred, I couldn't send them there without a "Puerto Rico" May Book to journal all of their stories. My Momma says hers is completely filled up. I cannot wait to read all about it.
Next came the 4th of July. We spent it celebrating with some of the great new friends we have met through working at Mudbugs over great food, a few beers and watching 30 somethings attempt to fly out of the blow up water slide. Luckily, there were no trips to the hospital needed. We finished out the day of celebrating by watching fireworks from our front steps. There were firework shows from every angle.
Then, there was my birthday!! The big 2-8. Whoa. Where does the time go? It was one of the best ones yet. It started with breakfast with Ann-Hamilton and Hayes at Joe's diner. Then Kendol and I headed to Eagle Lake in Vicksburg for the 4th of July Boat Parade festivities. This was our 4th year in a row to attend, and I love it more every time. Nothing like a weekend on the water with great friends and no cell phone service. It was just what I needed.
And that brings us to the current week, which I have spent finishing up lots of work so that I can head to the beach with my family on Saturday... O, and picking out paint colors. Yes, paint colors. What a stressful little job that is, but I am so excited that I can't even stand it.
And I guess that catches y'all up on a little of the craziness that's gone on lately.
