Stylin' and Profilin'

Ok, so there are lots n' lots of new folks around here, so I'm just going to throw this out there. I am a Stella and Dot Stylist, in case some of you didn't know! (Seriously, so fun!!) Anywho, the new fall line came out on Saturday morning and it is beyond cute. I mean, what kind of stylist would I be if I didn't share the goods!

First and foremost it is very apparent that black and gold are majorly in for fall/winter. This is something you will never find me complaining about. I love both!

Over the Weekend..

No weekend is a bad weekend that starts out at the Mexican Joint. Am I right? Or am I right? I stuffed my face with chips n' salsa, tacos and Coronas until my little heart was content. It was my birthday celebration... I could do that, right? Of course!

And no weekend is a bad weekend when your best friend is in town from Nashville. Am I right? Or am I right? Meet my little ginge, Liz!! 

We spent our weekend catching up on life til the weee hour of the mornings, catching up on all of her wedding planning, shopping, stuffing our faces, having one too many Sonic cokes and wandering around Target, of course. No trip with Liz (to anywhere) is complete without a marathon long trip to Target, like she doesn't have 14 to choose from in Nash. As many times as I rolled my eyes in Target, I wouldn't trade it for the world. A whole weekend with two of my best friends is good for the soul. We have been next door neighbors since age three, so we Mal and I miss having her around here alot.

Since I neglected Kendol a bit the whole weekend, we spent Sunday afternoon doing our favorite thing. Looking at houses.

We LOVE it.

Then we had a few drinks on the new patio that Kendol (and friends) built in the backyard.... with our new precious chairs. And the weekend ended with a spaghetti dinner for two on the back porch.

My Momma got these for me for my birthday.

They need some serious breaking in, but I love them.

And.. I love that they come in narrow sizes.

Food Fav

Fruit Trifle.

I made this deliciousness for the 4th of July and I highly suggest it.

Super easy and pretty healthy.

1 Angel Food Cake Mix 

4 Packs of Low Fat Cheese Cake Pudding (and milk)

Fruit of your choice.

I layered: blueberries on bottom, crumbled cake, pudding, strawberries and blueberries, repeat.

I also mixed some whip cream in with my pudding.

Who doesn't love whip cream?

P.S. The pudding with whip cream also made an awesome fruit dip for my leftover fruit!

There were also a few intense games of cornhole that went down as soon as it cooled off a little. Mal and I did a little dominating.... Then Kendol and I finished the night watching all of the neighborhood fireworks from our front steps. So thankful to live in such a great place. Thanks so all who make our freedom possible on a daily basis.

Definitely one of the best birthdays for America we've had in a while!!

Now it's time to celebrate mine :)

I started my day with a coke and a chocolate chip cookie..

Not too shabby!! 

But, I'm still a little undecided about the big 2-7..

I don't feel 27.

America

This past weekend is one of my favorites of the year. The annual 4th of July Boat Parade on Eagle Lake. There's nothing more American. It's like a red, white and blue Mardi Gras on the water. 

Boats, Beads, Beer.

What could be better?
